About this event

"ENLIGHTENMENT JAPAN," a 360-degree immersive spectacle of sound and light experienced by 3 million people across 90 cities worldwide, lands in Osaka for the first time. Using the entire central hall of the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts—a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan—as a screen, this roughly 30-minute show unfolds, merging visuals with music based on Vivaldi's masterpiece "The Four Seasons." Projected across all walls, ceiling, and pillars, the imagery integrates seamlessly with the solemn historical space, inviting visitors through the transitions of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, the cycle of life and suffering, and into a world of liberated light. Created by Swiss media mapping pioneer PROJEKTIL, this piece provides deep depth and immersion through visuals and sound crafted specifically for the venue's architectural structure. Bead cushions are also provided, allowing you to relax while immersing yourself in the world of light. Taking photos and recording videos during the performance is permitted.
