About this event
The Sakai City Greening Festival is an environmental awareness event touring Daisen Park, the symbolic park of Sakai City, where both children and adults can enjoy and appreciate the importance of greenery. At the main venue, the Large Lawn Plaza, there will be an award ceremony for contributors to greening efforts, an ikebana performance by members of 'IKENOBOYS' (active in the floral art field), guitar and taishogoto performances, and stage shows by various community groups. In addition, there will be sales of flower seedlings and saplings, food booths with kitchen cars, and a promotional booth for the International Horticultural Expo 2027 (GREEN x EXPO 2027). At the sub-venue, Sakai City Urban Greening Center, the 'SAKAI BOTANICAL CENTER FES' will be held, featuring events by Kansai University students, a harp concert, tea tree planting, and an amethyst sage harvesting experience. The Daisen Park Japanese Garden will also offer special free admission, alongside a stamp rally and various activities showcasing the autumn charm of Daisen Park. With job-experience activities related to plants and trees, as well as sports experiences on the lawn, it is an event where you can engage in diverse activities while enjoying greenery all day long.
