About this event
This is a workshop where you can try playing the steelpan, an instrument born in the Caribbean island nation that is also memorably featured in 'Under the Sea', the signature song from the movie The Little Mermaid. Anyone from adults to children can easily participate, regardless of musical experience. Because sheet music is not used, even beginners can enjoy the sound of the steelpan with peace of mind. Steelpan players Mr. Yoichi Izawa and Ms. Megumi Okada will serve as instructors. The workshop fee includes instrument rental, so you can participate empty-handed. The capacity is 20 people of elementary school age and above (first-come, first-served; registration required).
