About this event

Held since 2022 to revitalize the Kobe waterfront, "Minato HANABI" marks its 5th anniversary in 2026 under the tagline "More charm, let's rise. Fireworks, let's launch." The event takes on new initiatives to further enhance the appeal of fireworks, including combining musical fireworks with laser displays for the first time. Ahead of next year's 160th anniversary of the opening of Kobe Port, this year's edition delivers an impressive and moving 20-minute show of interwoven fireworks, music, and lasers on an even grander scale than last year. Each of the five days features a distinct theme that colors the Kobe night: "Memories of Kobe to the Night Sky" on Monday, October 19; "KOBE MIDNIGHT JAM" on Tuesday, October 20; "The Radiance of the Evolving Waterfront" on Wednesday, October 21; "KOBE Connecting to the World" on Thursday, October 22; and "Autumn Banquet: 5 Years of Trajectory" on Friday, October 23. In addition, the "Choi-Toku Shop Tour" allows visitors to receive discounts and perks by presenting the event guidebook at participating shops, and the "Waterfront Rally" offers a digital stamp rally exploring spots across the port city of Kobe.
