About this event
Targeting preschoolers and elementary school students, 'Tanshin Oshigoto Park' (work experience park) will be held as a pre-event for the 90th anniversary of Awaji Shinkin Bank. At this event, children can actually experience work under 29 businesses active on Awaji Island (such as building contractors, farms, gelato shops, incense cooperatives, and auto repair shops). Upon completing their work, they receive a wooden children's currency called 'mocca' as compensation, which they can use to enjoy shopping at the on-site market (marche). Through the sequence of 'working,' 'receiving,' and 'deciding how to spend,' children can learn hands-on about the joy of working and the role of money. The work experience requires advance application (capacity of 150 participants), but anyone can enter the market area without prior registration. By interacting directly with active local adults, the event aims to help children discover the appeal of work and lifestyles, inspiring them to pursue their dreams in the local community.
