The 2026 "Itami Fireworks Festival" will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, on the riverbed around Inagawa Kozu Bridge. Reflecting the impact of recent extreme summer heat and the results of citizen surveys, this year's event will be held in the autumn. Approximately 3,500 fireworks are scheduled to be launched over roughly 45 minutes. Numerous street stalls will open along the east riverbed of the Ina River, the main venue, adding to the lively atmosphere. Since there is no parking at the venue, using public transportation is recommended. It is about a 10-minute walk from JR Itami Station and about a 20-minute walk from Hankyu Itami Station. Traffic restrictions are scheduled to be implemented around the venue on the day of the event. The fireworks festival will be livestreamed on YouTube, allowing those unable to attend in person to enjoy the event as well. However, music-synchronized fireworks may not be audible due to copyright restrictions. Flying small unmanned aircraft (such as drones) is prohibited at and around the venue. Paid seating is also available as a hometown tax donation return gift, offering close-up views of the impressive fireworks. Residents of Itami City cannot apply for these seats as hometown tax gifts. Because exiting the venue after the fireworks conclude may take time, attendees are advised to plan their movements with ample time to spare.
