Kannabe Highlands Watermelon Festival

The Kannabe Highlands Watermelon Festival will be held in Kannabe Highlands, a highland resort in northern Hyogo Prefecture. Roadside Station Kannabe Highlands (Michi-no-Eki Kannabe Kogen) will be completely colored in watermelon theme for this event, offering various programs for whole families to enjoy and create delicious summer memories. Highlight events include a children-only watermelon carrying competition and an adult watermelon eating competition. These competitions require advance application and are free to enter. In addition, truckloads of Kannabe watermelons will be sold at event-exclusive prices, and purchasers will have a chance in a raffle lottery with no losing tickets. The venue will also feature creative Eisa dance performances, as well as stalls for food and drinks, medicinal herbs, and health checks throughout the day. Because watermelon sales are limited in quantity, numbered ticket distribution starts at 9:00 AM. Come and fully enjoy the flavors of summer at this festival, held for the first time since its renewal opening.
