In conjunction with the opening of the fishing season for Matsuba Crab (snow crab), a winter delicacy of Tajima, the 'Bountiful Crab Catch Prayer Festival' will be held to pray for a bountiful catch. This festival is held in the Kinosaki Onsen town alongside the opening ceremony of the 'Crab Kingdom' tourism campaign, celebrating the opening of fishing for Matsuba Crab, often called the king of winter delicacies. Kinosaki Onsen reaches its peak excitement of the year during this time, with various tourism campaigns held from November to March under the banner of 'Crab Kingdom'. During the period, fresh crabs line the fish markets, limited-time crab menus are offered at eateries, and crab souvenirs appear in gift shops, offering abundant opportunities to fully enjoy crab.
