About this event

This is a two-day event dedicated to carnivorous plants, held at the Hyogo Prefectural Flower Center. People interested in carnivorous plants, from beginner growers to professionals, can gather to enjoy plant sales, lectures, and more. Centered around the Flower Exhibition Hall and the Great Greenhouse Flower Hall, the venue also guides visitors through the Great Greenhouse, Orchid Room, and Carnivorous Plant Room. At the direct sale market, items ranging from common to rare species along with related merchandise will be sold, featuring a diverse lineup from enthusiast clubs, specialty shops, and artisans nationwide. In addition, carnivorous plants and paludarium exhibits will be featured in the Flower Hall, alongside special lectures. On Sunday, November 8, from 13:00 to 15:00, a lecture titled "The Frontline of Carnivorous Plant Research and the Future of Conservation" will be presented by Professor Mitsuyasu Hasebe of the National Institute for Basic Biology. Park tours, social gatherings, food truck stalls, and direct shuttle bus services from Himeji Station are also planned, making it an event where visitors can fully immerse themselves in the charm of carnivorous plants.
