Lord Keisuke Otori Deep Dive Tour

This special tour offers an in-depth opportunity to learn about the life and achievements of Lord Keisuke Otori, a native of Kamigori Town who devoted himself to the development of education, diplomacy, and industry during the turbulent Bakumatsu and Meiji periods, while visiting places associated with him. On the day of the tour, Yuka Nakagawa, a Keisuke Otori research specialist and member of the Kamigori Town Local Vitalization Cooperator squad, will ride along on the bus to provide commentary on Keisuke Otori. In addition, Headmaster Inoo of the Keisuke Otori Juku will handle guiding at the Ikiiki Koryu Furusatokan. Major highlights include the Bronze Statue of Lord Keisuke Otori (Kamigori Town Hall), the Birthplace of Keisuke Otori (Ikiiki Koryu Furusatokan), Pure Land Yamanosato (lunch featuring a seasonal Japanese set meal is provided), Umanomichi Pond (Emperor Meiji Encampment Monument inscribed by Keisuke Otori), and an Analects and lecture experience conducted by Shizutani School staff at Shizutani School (Auditorium, Tsubakidani, etc.). This tour is conducted as a bus tour and is accompanied by a tour conductor.
