2026 Rakan no Sato Autumn Leaves Festival

At the "2026 Rakan no Sato Autumn Leaves Festival" held at Rakan no Sato in Uriu, Yano-cho, Aioi City, Hyogo Prefecture, a creative scarecrow (kagashi) contest will be held. Applicants create unique scarecrows aiming for lavish prizes, including the 100,000 yen "Grand Scarecrow Award" and 30,000 yen each for the "Mayor's Award," "Tourism Association President's Award," and "Rakan no Sato Award." Along the approximately 800-meter "Scarecrow Road," about 1,000 handmade scarecrows full of creative ideas will be on display to entertain visitors. The application deadline for submitting scarecrow entries is Friday, October 16, at 17:00. Judging takes place on Thursday, November 5, and the results will be announced at the festival venue on Sunday, November 8.
