About this event
As part of the "Prefectural Citizens' Art Theater" organized by the Hyogo Arts & Culture Association, a concert by the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra will be held at the Akatombo Cultural Hall. This performance aims to bring excellent performing arts closer to more people, and is also conducted as an art appreciation program for local elementary school students, but it is also open to the general public. Conducted by Akito Hiraishi, a diverse program is scheduled, including the "Polonaise" from Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin", Strauss II's "Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka", "En bateau" from Debussy's "Petite Suite", the "Overture" from Elgar's suite "The Wand of Youth", and the 4th movement of Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 "From the New World". Doors open at 13:00, the performance begins at 14:00, and the duration is approximately 70 minutes. Additionally, a lobby concert of about 15 minutes will be held before the performance starting at 13:20, accessible to ticket holders. The venue is the Grand Hall of Akatombo Cultural Hall, with all seats reserved. Prices are 2,000 yen for general admission and 1,000 yen for elementary school students and younger (preschoolers not admitted), with discount rates available for Akatombo Cultural Hall and Aqua Hall Tomo-no-Kai members. Advance sales for Tomo-no-Kai members start on August 22, 2026 (Reiwa 8), and general sales begin on August 28.
