Organized by the Nanki Kumano Geopark Guide Association, the 'Nanki Kumano Geopark Classic Tour: Walking Through Magma-Formed Shingu' is designed so that individual travelers can easily join a tour that is normally held for groups. Starting from the Shingu Castle Ruins and heading to Kamikura Shrine, a World Cultural Heritage site where the Gotobiki Rock is enshrined, this tour takes you around the townscape of Shingu formed by magmatic activity while experiencing the history and culture of the castle town. With a walking distance of approximately 4 km, you can enjoy a unique geopark experience that deepens your understanding of Shingu's topography, geology, and the living culture rooted there.
