Koji Ishitani Sculpture Exhibition

A large-scale solo exhibition by sculptor Koji Ishitani will be held at the Ishitani Residence, a Nationally Designated Important Cultural Property located in Chizu Town, Yazu District, Tottori Prefecture. In this exhibition, Ishitani's works, primarily featuring wood sculptures and terracotta, will be displayed not only in the No. 1 Storehouse Exhibition Room but also across various rooms of the main building. Created with motifs of human figures, nature, and their harmony, Ishitani's works incorporate modern abstraction within figurative expression, characterized by a softness that invites viewers into a meditative world. During the exhibition period, contemporary dance performances and artist talks will also be held, allowing visitors to deeply appreciate the art alongside the sculptures. Visitors can enjoy these exhibitions and events for just the standard admission fee to the Ishitani Residence, and some works will also be available for purchase.
