Held in Oda City, Shimane Prefecture, "Resonating! Why Does Kotogahama Sing? - The Chemistry of Singing Sand" is an exciting special event that explores the mystery of the singing sand of Kotogahama Beach, famous for squeaking when walked upon. Co-hosted by Nima Sand Museum and Sanbe Jomon no Mori Museum as part of the Japan Heritage "The Eternal History Told by Iwami's Volcanoes," this event features a science talk explaining the chemical aspects of singing sand, allowing participants to explore the scientific explanation behind this wondrous phenomenon. The event will be held in Time Hall at Nima Sand Museum with a capacity of 20 participants, though same-day walk-in participation is also permitted. Admission fee to Nima Sand Museum is required to participate.
