Silver Week Astronomical Observation Event

About this event

This is an astronomical observation event held during the Silver Week holiday period at the Shimane Nature Museum of Mt. Sanbe Sahimel in Oda City, Shimane Prefecture. You can observe autumn stars under the night sky of Sanbe, which is comparable to a dark sky place. In this program, visitors use observatory telescopes to observe celestial objects that are easy to view in each season. Participation is available for individuals or groups of 1 to 9 people. The fee is 350 yen for adults, 100 yen for elementary, junior high, and high school students, and free for preschoolers. The duration is about 45 minutes. In case of rain or cloudy skies, a planetarium screening will be held instead. A contact number reachable on the day of the event must be provided.
