To commemorate the 130th anniversary of its municipal organization, Hayashima Town will hold the "2026 Hayashima Lifelong Learning Festival" under the theme "~130 Years: Lifelong Learning, Continuing into the Future.~" This festival aims to provide opportunities for people of all generations to discover the joy and importance of learning throughout life, to present the results of their daily learning, and to serve as a catalyst for new learning. In 2026, fitting for the 130-year milestone of municipal organization, many unprecedented programs and attractions are being prepared. Serving as a venue where both adults and children can discover a future sense of purpose in life, it will be a chance to nurture dreams for the future through diverse learning and experiences themed around Hayashima Town. We warmly welcome the participation of all who seek happiness in daily life. During the festival period, a diverse program will unfold, including club and group presentations, library storytelling sessions, a walking tour, a piano relay concert, a photo contest, a music appreciation session, an art festa, a historical and cultural property exhibition, a chrysanthemum and autumn flower exhibition, as well as the main event "Iki-Iki Hiroba" and a finale Wadaiko (Japanese drum) festival. In particular, "Iki-Iki Hiroba" will feature numerous fun hands-on activity corners and outdoor food stalls, allowing visitors to spend an autumn day enjoying experiences that stimulate curiosity. Many newly introduced projects will also be featured, promising new discoveries and inspiration.
