130th Town Status Anniversary Project 2026 Hayashima Lifelong Learning Festival: Iki-Iki Hiroba

About this event

Centering around the Hayashima Town Central Community Center, the "Hayashima Lifelong Learning Festival: Iki-Iki Hiroba" is the main event commemorating the 130th anniversary of the municipal town organization. With diverse hands-on corners including experiences offered for the first time, it is packed with programs to spark your curiosity for learning. Outdoors, club groups and various organizations will line up food and activity stalls, offering appealing goods, food, and beverages. A balloon gate will also appear, brightly decorating the venue. Opening performances by the Hayashima Boys and Girls Choir and the Hayashima Ocarina Club, along with new programs like loss-flower workshops, moss ball making, and children's game stalls, are prepared so that whole families can enjoy an autumn day through food and hands-on experiences. At the stalls, wild vegetable soba, yakitori, soft-serve ice cream, chirashizushi, zenzai, wild vegetable okowa, bean-paste mochi, cotton candy, and more will be sold; health consultations, health checks, sales of Saori weaving accessories, tatami border bags, Christmas wreaths, and Community Chest charity goods will also be held. Electric cart test rides and vehicle displays by Mitsubishi Motors Mizushima Plant, free popcorn distribution, and yo-yo balloon fishing are also planned. Outreach and awareness activities related to the My Number system will also take place.
