"Ukishiro" (Floating Castle) is another name for Mihara Castle, which was built as a coastal sea castle. At this "Mihara Ukishiro Festival," various events are held centered around the Mihara Castle ruins. The main highlight is the parade through the castle town by an armor troop of about 50 people clad in traditional samurai gear. Visitors can also enjoy meals associated with the castle town and the castle ruins illuminated with light-ups that evoke its history and culture.
