At Fukuyama Castle Tenshu-mae Plaza, the '2026 Fukuyama Castle Sake and Appetizer Festival - Fuku-tsumami and Castle-Viewing Sake -' will be held on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, 2026. From 11:00 to 18:00, visitors can enjoy carefully selected sake from breweries across Bingo and Aki regions. A wide variety of breweries will participate, including Tenpoichi, Shinrai, Zuikan, Miwasakura, Hakuko, Otafuku, Asahikari, Oikame, and Seikyo. At the venue, 'Fuku-tsumami' appetizers to enjoy with sake will also be provided, though 'nebuto no nanban-zuke' and 'chi-chii-ika no sumiso' are excluded this time. In addition, the 'Fun Sake Booth' will propose various ways to enjoy sake. Tickets include advance tickets (a set of 5 tickets for 1,800 yen) and same-day tickets (a set of 5 tickets for 2,000 yen, or 400 yen per single ticket), and drinks are served in 2 oz (approx. 60 ml) tasting sizes. Advance tickets go on sale starting Saturday, August 22 at Fukuyama Station Tourist Information Center, Sake Sho Yamada, and other locations. Stage events are scheduled to feature performances centering on nostalgic kayokyoku songs. The event will be held rain or shine, but may be canceled in stormy weather. Never drive after drinking.
