FY2026 JASDF Fuchu Air Base Cool Evening Festival (Tentative Title)

The Fiscal Year 2026 Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) Fuchu Air Base Cool Evening Festival (tentative title) will be held at the JASDF Fuchu Air Base in Fuchu City, Tokyo. Typically, the base opens to the public featuring performances by military bands and taiko drum clubs, Bon Odori dancing, and outdoor food/merchandise stalls. Considering the risks of heatstroke and food poisoning during summer as well as the challenges in ensuring safety and health, this year's event has been moved to October. Admission is free, and no advance registration is required. Baggage inspections will be conducted at the entrance on the day, and visitor cooperation is required. As there is no parking available for general visitors on base, using public transportation is recommended. Event programming typically includes performances by the JASDF Central Band, Japanese Taiko Drum Club performances, and mass dances by Folk Dance Federations and Associations.
