About this event
The "2026 Lake Ryuki Festival at Nukui Dam" will be held around Nukui Dam in Akiota Town, Hiroshima Prefecture. Set against the magnificent nature of Nukui Dam, the tallest arch dam in western Japan, visitors can enjoy stage events, a food stall village, and sales of local specialty products. In particular, there is a chance to experience the powerful dam discharge up close, and the "Nukui Dam Spectacle Tour" is scheduled, offering special access to areas normally closed to the public. In addition, special water activities such as SUP and kayaking utilizing Nukui Dam's reservoir, Lake Ryuki, will be available, allowing visitors to refresh mind and body in the invigorating nature by the lakeside. The stage program is scheduled to feature calligraphy performances, dance, Kagura, and Yosakoi dance.
