At Marifu Hato Park in Iwakuni City, a Bon Odori dance will be held to illuminate the night, gently connecting people across generations and nationalities. Created jointly by the younger generation and the local community, this event aims to be a new style of Bon Odori and serve as a 'first step' toward passing down Iwakuni's culture to the future. Beyond just watching, joining the circle around the yagura tower to dance together is hoped to create local vibrancy and foster new connections. Reflecting the organizers' wish to create a space where people of all generations and nationalities dance around the tower, the event aims to pass down Iwakuni culture to future generations through Bon Odori.
