About this event
The "70th Iwakuni Festival", a regular event that colors autumn in Iwakuni City, will be held around Iwakuni Station on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, 2026. This year's theme is "Tradition Meets Future: Weaving Young Passions into the Future". Packed with events that can be enjoyed across generations, diverse attractions are scheduled, including citizen dance parades, brass band parades, White Snake sacred rituals and portable shrine processions, float parades, lucky white snake mochi tossing, children's plaza, festival stalls, and stage events. In particular, Sunday, October 18 is drawing attention as the day when signature events representing the Iwakuni Festival are concentrated. The venue is around Iwakuni Station, accessible in about a 5-minute walk from JR Iwakuni Station. As traffic restrictions will be in place on the day, the use of public transportation is recommended.
