2026 Miwa Sancharou Festival

Under the theme of "Let's see! Let's eat! Let's walk!" (Micharou! Kuucharou! Aruicharou!), Miwa Town's biggest annual autumn event, the "2026 Miwa Sancharou Festival," will be held in Iwakuni City. Set along the scenic shores of Lake Yasaka, the festival offers diverse activities such as traditional performing arts like Kagura and Taiko drumming ("see"), autumn delicacies such as Ganne chestnuts and matsutake mushrooms ("eat"), and a 10,000-Step Rally exploring the surrounding area ("walk"). In addition to the popular annual 10,000-Step Rally, the stage program features Kagura, dance, and music, while the Kids' Plaza provides all-day fun for families. A wide array of autumn gourmet dishes and local specialties unique to Miwa Town will also be on sale, allowing visitors to enjoy local agricultural produce, specialty goods, and popular street food stalls. Guests can shop for autumn flavors like chestnuts, freshly harvested rice, and local vegetables, as well as grilled dishes, light meals, sweets from food stalls, and Miwa's signature items and souvenirs. It is an event where you can fully experience the charms of Miwa Town while enjoying walking, eating, and shopping in beautiful nature.
