Held as part of Tomakomai Music Festival Project Stand up TOMAKOMAI 2026, Picture Book of Music: BRASS BATTLE is a concert that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. Under two conductors, two brass quintets will compete and perform together, allowing audiences to savor the beautiful harmonies of each instrument as well as the powerful performance of a brass dectet. Admission is open from 0 years old, delivering a fun, love-filled concert featuring animals. Planned musical pieces include the overture to the opera Ruslan and Lyudmila, the overture to the opera William Tell, 'Hey Let's Go (Sanpo)' from My Neighbor Totoro, 'The Raiders March' from Indiana Jones, The Other Day I Met a Bear (Mori no Kuma-san), and more. Tickets are sold at Tomakomai Civic Cultural Hall ART CUBES, Ticket Pia, and Superkids Ticket Center. General admission is 2,000 yen (2,500 yen at the door), and children (up to junior high school age) are 500 yen (same price at the door). Children under 3 years old are free of charge on a guardian's lap, but a fee is required if a seat is needed. Capacity limits may be implemented depending on circumstances.
