As part of the "Tobiu Art Festival 2026" hosted by the Tobiu Art Community in Shiraoi Town, Hokkaido, a special event titled "Festival of Tobiu" will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026. This festival is held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Tobiu Art Community, where visitors can enjoy music, art, and food. In particular, the illuminated Tobiu Forest is scheduled to be opened to the public at night. During the art festival period, set against the backdrop of wooden school buildings and the Tobiu Forest, a diverse array of works and expressions will gather, also providing opportunities for creators and visitors to interact. Programs for parents and children as well as plans in which a wide range of generations can participate are also prepared, allowing visitors to experience time unique to Tobiu throughout the day. The Tobiu Art Festival will be held from Saturday, September 5 to Sunday, September 13, 2026, and "Festival of Tobiu" will be a special day during that period.
