About this event
This autumn, a one-day film festival featuring short films by film directors with connections to the Setouchi region will be held at NEIW THEATER in Sakate Port, Shodoshima. Distinct from feature-length films, visitors can experience stories, landscapes, and emotions condensed into a limited time. Through each film, one can connect with the world seen by each director. The daytime session mainly screens works that can be enjoyed by a wide range of generations from children to adults, while the evening session selects works that leave a slightly more mature lingering resonance. Guest talks by the directors are also scheduled between screenings. In a space by the sea that is a little different from a traditional movie theater, it is a day to enjoy movies with food and drinks in hand. It will be a time where movie watchers, filmmakers, island residents, and travelers intersect and connect through the medium of a single film.
