Omishima Museum of Art 40th Anniversary Special Exhibition "Contemporary Nihonga Exhibition: Artists and Omishima Museum of Art"

About this event

Commemorating the 40th anniversary of the opening of Omishima Museum of Art, this special exhibition titled "Contemporary Nihonga Exhibition: Artists and Omishima Museum of Art" exhibits collected works of artists who were involved with the museum as young artists at the time of its opening, alongside their recent works. Through this, visitors can look back on the 40-year history of the Omishima Museum of Art and trace the transitions of contemporary Nihonga (Japanese-style painting) and the trajectories of the artists. It will be a valuable opportunity to experience both the history of the museum and the appeal of contemporary art at the same time.
