About this event
This event challenges the world's first Guinness World Records™ title for the "most people lifting bicycles simultaneously" at Tatara Shimanami Park on Omishima Island in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. Anyone from adults to children who has a bicycle can participate. Following a designated signal, participants will simultaneously lift their bicycles so that the saddle is above chest height and hold them for a certain period of time. Any type of bicycle is welcome. The event aims to promote the charms of the Shimanami Kaido to the world, and participants will receive exclusive event merchandise as a gift. The venue, Tatara Shimanami Park, is a scenic spot overlooking the beautiful Tatara Bridge and is adjacent to the "Cyclist Sanctuary Monument". On the day, in addition to the Guinness World Records™ challenge, an opening ceremony will also be held. Participation is free, but you must bring your own bicycle. A limited number of bicycles are also available for free rental.
