The exhibition "vacances" by Daigo Yamamoto, a painter and illustrator born in Sukumo City, Kochi Prefecture, and residing in Kochi City, will be held at Sukumo Machi-no-Eki Hayashi Residence. Held for the first time in three years, this exhibition is themed around "camping (outdoors)," translating the atmosphere and essence of vacations felt firsthand by Daigo into the Hayashi Residence venue to create a comfortable, special space reminiscent of summer outdoors. Daigo's illustrations, featuring appealing warm "lines," gently capture casual everyday moments, lightening viewers' hearts and bringing smiles. This time, with the second floor of Hayashi Residence as the main venue, many of Daigo's "petits tableaux (small paintings)" will be exhibited. The historic timber-frame space of Hayashi Residence, delicate and expressive pencil line drawings, and outdoor-style spatial styling combine to create an unmatched collaboration that can only be experienced here. Furthermore, a special workshop for fans, [Badge or Mirror], will also be held. In this special program, Daigo creates a live drawing on the spot and turns it into either a tin badge or a small portable mirror.
