Held in Sukumo City, Kochi Prefecture, "Akiyo no Akari '26 / BLOOMO '26 SUKUMO" is an event combining music, gourmet food, and light displays to enjoy the long autumn nights. At "Akiyo no Akari '26," bamboo lights will be illuminated at Sukumo Machi-no-Eki Hayashi Mansion (Hayashi-tei), creating a magical atmosphere. On Saturday, September 19, 2026, it will be held from 15:30 to 20:00 with free admission. In addition, the bamboo light illumination will also take place from 17:00 to 20:00 on Sunday the 20th and Monday the 21st. Held concurrently, "BLOOMO '26 SUKUMO" will take place at Ono Azusa Memorial Park on Saturday, September 19, from 15:30 to 18:30. Under the theme "Sukumo Blossoming Again," visitors can enjoy live music performances by Sukumo High School students, festival stalls by Hata Agricultural High School students, food, and drinks. At the stalls, yo-yo fishing, handmade sweets, handmade goods, and pork miso (buta miso) sold by the Agri-Science Department are scheduled. Live music performances will start at 16:00 in the north lawn area, featuring "Hoshikuzu Nikki," "STRAY LOUNGE," and "Ryu." Food items served include fried chicken (karaage) and yakisoba. BLOOMO will proceed in light rain but will be cancelled in severe weather.
