42nd Umaji Oshidori Marathon

About this event

The Umaji Oshidori Marathon began its first edition in 1980 under the slogan 'Let's run together as husband and wife,' and marks its 42nd edition this year. This event is not a race, but aims for all participants to enjoy the pleasure of health and deepen friendships with each other while having fun running. You can aim for the finish line while experiencing with your whole body the nature-rich Umaji Village, where many happily married couples have run in the past. Events include 3 km and 5 km in the Married Couples Division, and 5 km in the Pre-Oshidori Division. The participant capacity is 250 pairs (500 people) on a first-come, first-served basis, and the entry fee is 7,000 yen per married couple or couple (including accident insurance and light meal). Participation prizes include processed yuzu products, Yanase cedar crafts, and hot spring bath vouchers. The schedule on the day of the event is reception from 8:00 to 9:00, opening ceremony from 9:30, start at 10:00, and closing ceremony around 11:00. The event will be held rain or shine.
