About this event
The Okawa Village Industrial and Cultural Festival is a venue where villagers create rich, bright lives and showcase works created daily, refined techniques, and local performing arts handed down from ancestors. The cultural section features exhibits of paintings (Japanese-style and Western-style paintings), calligraphy, photography, literature (haiku and tanka), flower arrangement (ikebana), crafts, and bonsai. The performing arts section features dance, local performing arts, shigin (poetry chanting), rokyoku (narrative singing), popular songs, choral singing, and solo singing. Through this festival, the village aims to enhance the industrial culture of its residents. The cultural section will be held on Saturday, November 7 from 9:00 to 17:00 and Sunday, November 8 from 9:00 to 16:00, while the performing arts section will be held on Sunday, November 8 from 13:00. Admission is free, and no advance application is required. The application period for participants is from Monday, October 5, 2026, to Friday, October 23, 2026, open to individuals and groups residing or working in Okawa Village, or collaborating in activities with Okawa Village residents.
