Matsuri Kigyo-sai Yahata 2026

About this event

Held in early November, this festival is a representative autumn event in Kitakyushu. Originating as a commemoration of the work commencement ceremony of the state-owned Yawata Steel Works, various festivities have been organized as a citizens' festival since 1985 (Showa 60). About 300 street stalls line up, attracting more than 500,000 visitors every year. Performances such as singing, dancing, music, and street performances are held one after another, and a fireworks display is scheduled for the finale, captivating many people as a classic autumn tradition in Kitakyushu.
