37th Yame Kurogi Furusato Festival

The 37th Yame Kurogi Furusato Festival, held in fiscal year 2026 (Reiwa 8), will take place at the Kurogi Station Former Site Event Plaza in Ima, Kurogi-machi, Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture. On the stage, various local groups will liven up the festival with brass band performances, dance, live band concerts, a lottery, and more. In addition, the "Working Vehicles Plaza" will gather police cars, police motorcycles, pump trucks, ambulances, Self-Defense Forces vehicles, cutting-edge sightseeing buses, and ride-on lawn mowers, offering photo opportunities and ride-along experiences (the Yame Fire Department display runs specifically from 10:00 to 12:00). For food, the "Kurogi Food Fest" will offer local specialties and diverse gourmet treats, including the famous salt-grilled yamame trout. Hands-on activities are also abundant, packed with plans for adults and children alike, such as a "Wooden Fish Fishing Experience" and the "Kurogi Sightseeing Quiz." As a related event, a "Forest Therapy Walk" will be held on the same day, allowing visitors to fully enjoy nature. Parking is available at Kurogi Park, the Yame City Hall Kurogi Branch Office, and Kurogi Junior High School.
