The 45th Shihoro 7,000 People Festival Costume Bon Odori

This is a costume Bon Odori dance held as part of the "45th Shihoro 7,000 People Festival." This festival is the largest in Shihoro Town, serving as a participatory event where townspeople take part, deepening connections with the community while fostering interaction with returning residents and visitors. It is packed with highlights such as festival stalls, Shihoro Kogen Taiko drumming, hot air balloon trial rides, and stage events. The flower mikoshi using "Mino washi," a specialty of sister city Mino City in Gifu Prefecture, is also impressive. The costume Bon Odori can be entered individually or as a group. The main festival is held on Sunday, August 16, and the costume Bon Odori is scheduled to be held two days later, on Thursday, August 20.
