Play on the Chikugo River! Ukiha Oishi Kawamachi Festa 2026, held in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is an event where visitors can enjoy various water activities and hands-on experiences set along the Chikugo River. Attractions include canoe and SUP races, water tubes, and a stamp rally. In particular, the canoe, SUP, and raft races require advance reservation, with participation fees of 2,000 yen per person for water races and 500 yen per person for water tug-of-war. On the day of the event, participants can challenge water sports in the morning and freely enjoy water experiences and a water tug-of-war tournament in the afternoon. In addition, an experience zone for Mölkky, a sport originating in Finland, and sweetfish (ayu) catching will be held; a free BBQ area is available where you can grill and eat the ayu you catch on the spot.
