About this event
This autumn special exhibition is themed on the encounter of Yayoi cultures between two regions: Inaba/Hoki and Ito-koku. Precious artifacts excavated from the Aoya Kamijichi Site, known as the 'Underground Yayoi Museum,' and the Mukibanda Site, where one of Japan's largest Yayoi settlements was discovered, will be on display. Through numerous items including Important Cultural Properties, visitors can experience cultural exchanges and the daily lives of people during the Yayoi period. This exhibition focuses on the interactions between the Aoya Yayoi people and Shinmachi Yayoi people, providing an opportunity to explore the unique cultures nurtured in each region and how they influenced one another.
