The World-Touring Japanese Drum Troupe "YAMATO" Japan Tour 2026 in Nagasaki Based in Asuka Village, Nara Prefecture, the world-touring Japanese drum troupe "YAMATO" has staged over 4,800 performances across 55 countries worldwide since its founding in 1993, captivating more than 10 million people in total. Starting with a giant taiko drum measuring approximately 2 meters in diameter and weighing over 500 kilograms, a wide variety of large and small Japanese drums weave together a powerful stage. The overwhelming rhythms and delicate expressions born from well-trained bodies are truly "music of the body." Intensity, sorrow, tranquility, and dynamism—YAMATO's performance is not about "listening" to sound, but an experience to "feel with the entire body."
