Held at the Contemporary Art Museum, Kumamoto, the "GIII-Vol.166 Kumamoto City Summer Specialty! Children's Fun Haunted House 10th Anniversary Grand Archive Exhibition" commemorates the 10th anniversary of the "Children's Fun Haunted House" that has continued since 2014. Held every summer with story, composition, and direction by Miki Ikeda (Representative of Gekidan Kirara) and set production by Shogo Abe (Leader of Namu Thunder), this haunted house overcomes the Kumamoto earthquakes and the COVID-19 pandemic to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. This exhibition reveals valuable materials for the first time, including mini haunted house experiences, floor plans of past haunted houses, sets, and original flyer drawings. Designed so that even those who feel frightened by haunted houses can discover the fun of this unique project, the exhibition content can be enjoyed with peace of mind. Related events will also be held, including commemorative talks, workshops for acting as haunted house characters, and mini theater performances staging Lafcadio Hearn's classic ghost stories.
