Brightening the summer night of Arao City, Kumamoto Prefecture, Arao Night Market 2026 will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Manda Pit Lawn Square. From dusk to night, lights will illuminate the Manda Pit Lawn Square, creating a special evening. Numerous street food stalls and food trucks offering local delicacies will be at the venue, allowing visitors to savor food while strolling and enjoying the lively atmosphere of the summer night. Stage events will also energize the venue, including Arao Taiko, Tanko Girls, and a special live performance by Japanese music unit co-ON. Furthermore, participatory activities unique to Arao are planned, such as the Arao Pear Harvesting Relay, Pear Sour Fast-Drinking Contest, and the Tanko Bushi Hippare, offering a lively time for both children and adults. Original T-shirts designed by volunteer students of the Taishi High School Art Club will also be on sale. Please come with your family and friends to create summer memories in Arao.
