The 2026 (Reiwa 8) Koshi Citizens Festival will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026 (Reiwa 8) at Kumamoto Agricultural Park Country Park. This annual festival organized by Koshi City features popular character shows and gourmet food booths, and this fiscal year, a 'Children's Job Experience Land' is also newly planned. On the main stage, performances such as dances by civic groups active within Koshi City will be showcased. Recruitment for groups participating in the citizens' stage is also underway, targeting groups of generally 5 or more members based in Koshi City. The application deadline is Friday, September 25, 2026 (Reiwa 8), and a lottery will be held if there are many applicants. The stage size is approximately 9m wide x 5.4m deep x 90cm high, with a simple PA system and one microphone provided, but participants must prepare their own sound sources and other equipment. The event opens at 9:00 and is scheduled to start at 10:00. In case of cancellation due to natural disasters or other reasons, notice will be provided on the city website, etc.
