43rd Aso Senomoto Plateau Marathon

With the catchphrase "Slow runners are the main stars," this marathon event invites participants to enjoy running at their own pace while feeling the refreshing breeze and beautiful scenery of the Senomoto Plateau in early autumn. Many runners gather not only from local Kumamoto Prefecture and other prefectures in Kyushu, but also from Shikoku, Chugoku, and Kinki regions. Aiming to foster friendship and health, participants can deepen interactions with one another while enjoying the vast nature of Minamioguni Town. As a health marathon, the event does not record times and focuses on the joy of running. Finishers are presented with a finisher's certificate, and all participants receive participation prizes, a bento box meal, and a discounted bath ticket. Lucky draw prizes are also prepared, making it an opportunity to experience the local charm beyond just the marathon.
