About this event

Held at the Nakatsu City History Museum (Nakahaku), "Nakahaku Lantern Night & Night Museum" features atmospheric lanterns created by the art clubs of junior high schools across Nakatsu City, illuminated every night until 21:00. From outside the museum through the glass windows, visitors can enjoy the magical glow of lanterns and the beautiful world of paper cutouts (kirie). This event provides a precious opportunity to experience culture and art during long summer evenings. In particular, the "Night Photo Challenge," where visitors can rent out the museum at night to take wonderful night photos with support from professional photographers, and the "Night Museum" with special nighttime openings featuring a Star Cafe and fun lucky draws, present unforgettable summer memories to visitors.
