Sanko Cosmos Festival 2026

About this event

The Sanko Cosmos Festival 2026 will be held across vast rice fields in the Sanko Taguchi and Naritsune areas of Nakatsu City, Oita Prefecture, featuring approximately 24 million cosmos flowers and about 100,000 sunflowers blooming in full glory. Visitors can enjoy an extraordinary atmosphere set against the magnificent panoramic scenery at the foot of Mount Hachimen. At the venue, activities such as flower picking inside the cosmos garden and food stalls serving local gourmet dishes are scheduled. Promotional activities by Cosmos PR Ambassadors at the site and social media updates will also liven up the festival. Please note that the grounds may be temporarily closed depending on the weather, and flowers may no longer be viewable after the final day due to mowing operations.
