51st Yufuin Film Festival

About this event

Held in the town of Yufuin, which has no movie theaters, the Yufuin Film Festival holds the longest history among existing film festivals. This film festival has built a special cultural value in the land of Yufuin as a place where Japanese film fans and creators meet. With Yufuin Luck Hall as the main venue, numerous Japanese films will be screened, including nostalgic movies and pre-release works. Having passed milestones such as the 130th anniversary of the birth of cinema and the 50th edition of the Yufuin Film Festival in past editions, this 51st edition continues to serve as an important bridge connecting love and passion for Japanese cinema to the future. It is operated in the form of an executive committee run by volunteers, with members of a wide range of age groups involved.
