Yufuin Beef-Eating & Screaming Contest

About this event

This signature event takes place in a vast pasture surrounded by great nature, where participants enjoy a barbecue of locally raised "Yufuin Beef" and then scream out their heart's desires, competing in voice volume and message content. The refreshing pasture with pleasant autumn breezes is specially opened for this day, allowing entire families to fully enjoy the grassland swaying with Japanese pampas grass and Yufuin in autumn. Limited to the first 400 people by advance reservation and prepayment, the participation fee is 5,000 yen for general participants (junior high school students and above) and 2,000 yen for elementary school students and below. On the day, a packed program is scheduled, including reception, admission, start of meal, screaming contest participant registration, screaming contest, fun lottery, judges' announcement, and award ceremony. The event will be canceled in case of rain, and beef will be shipped to participants. Reservations are accepted via email or FAX, and payment must be transferred to the designated bank account. Admission tickets will be sent by mail after payment confirmation.
