Autumn Higan-e Service at Futagoji Temple

About this event

The "Autumn Higan-e," an annual event of the Rokugo Manzan temples, will be held at Futagoji Temple in Kunisaki City. This ritual regards "shigan" (this shore, the world where we are) as the real world filled with troubles and confusion, and "higan" (the other shore) as the enlightened world free of suffering, likening reaching the world of peace from the real world to crossing over to the opposite bank of the Sanzu River. Through this Buddhist service, participants can find an opportunity to seek peace of mind.
