About this event
In Takazaki Town, Miyakonojo City, known as a town with beautiful starry skies, the '2026 Takazaki Summer Festival' will be held to light up the night sky. Taking place at the Takazaki Sogo Park Athletic Stadium, stage events by various local groups will be held, and as the climax of the festival, the large fireworks launched into the beautiful night sky are full of impact due to the very close distance between the viewing area and the launch site. Another attraction is the ability to relax and watch on the lawn. The festival opens at 5:00 PM, with the fireworks display starting at 8:30 PM and scheduled to end at 9:30 PM. In case of postponement due to stormy weather, it will be held the following day on Sunday, August 23.
